Our Story

At Beyond New Distribution, previously Beyond the Dance Network, we believe that every individual deserves the chance to break through barriers and thrive. Originally founded in 2015 our journey began with a simple yet powerful mission: to go beyond traditional support by combining tangible resources with holistic empowerment.

What started as a 12-week empowerment dance program has grown into a thriving network that serves people in need, from those overcoming homelessness and trauma and individuals seeking new beginnings. Through every dance step and every conversation, we work to replace feelings of isolation and despair with connection, self-worth, and hope.

Our journey began with a simple yet powerful mission: to go beyond traditional support by combining tangible resources with holistic empowerment. What started as a 12-week empowerment dance program has grown into a thriving network that serves people in need, from those overcoming homelessness and trauma to individuals seeking new beginnings.

Founded by Marsha D. Carter, a passionate advocate and coach, Beyond the Dance Network was born from a vision to empower those facing life’s hardest challenges. From overcoming personal adversity herself, Marsha realized that transformation—true, lasting change—often requires a partner in the journey. Through movement, coaching, and community support, she set out to create a safe space where individuals could reclaim their lives, find their voice, and step confidently into their future.

For Marsha and the entire Beyond the Dance Network team, the work is deeply personal. Every day, we are driven by the belief that empowerment isn’t a one-time event—it’s a journey. By meeting people wherever they are, we support their journey to go beyond the obstacles, limitations, and patterns that have held them back. With every individual we serve, we move one step closer to our vision: a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
